CTR is set up to allow fellow racers to increase their enjoyment at the race day. Not only do we provide a full arrive and drive service, including hospitality, we can also help with driver development and unique “one off” jobs.
To date we have specialised in Porsche racing
at all levels. We have a wealth of experience of this marque, in
particular the 911 and it’s racing derivatives, and have an enviable
and hard won reputation for success. Our own 935 is one of the most
successful race cars in
Arrive and Drive.
Our arrive and drive program differs from most
in that we expect the driver to participate in the team. Of course
we prepare the car to our exacting standards and run it through the
day but we like to driver to integrate with the team and become a
useful member of the group. This way cost are kept to a minimum and
the driver gets much more from the day. We don’t have secrets in the
team so he or she can see exactly what is going on and can
immediately feel the differences in the car behaviour.
We can help almost any driver improve their performance. Initially, novices will benefit from help from our team drivers but the more experienced driver may feel they need coaching from professional drivers. We have a large pool of drivers ranging from ex Formula 1, Group C through to Formula 3 and the top echelons of club racing who would be delighted to help. There is little doubt that coaching from one of our expert tutors will dramatically reduce lap times.
One off Engineering Projects.
Our team of motorsport engineers have experience in virtually all classes of motor sport form Formula 1 downwards. We can design everything from a dry sump tank to a complete chassis. Our experience with the Porsche flat 6 engine and now the Suzuki Hayabusa engine make us the builder of choice for these engines. Our Porsche engines can produce huge reliable power whilst our recent work on the Hayabusa means that we truly competitive with this type.
Modifications the suspension, chassis (we have a superb power steering rack conversion for early 911s – not cheap but the best) and aerodynamics can all be handled in a cost effective and mature manner.
