Now I have almost finished setting the car up. All that is left to do is the corner weights. But before I set these I thought it best to get some bump stops. I might not need them but seeing as I dont really know I thought if I had some I could experiment with them. So I had to remove the front dampers, disassemble them, slide on the bumpstop and then reassemble.

Bump Stops
Saturday, August 22nd, 2009Front Anti-Roll Bar
Friday, August 7th, 2009The front anti-roll bar is now on. I welded on some tags to stop it moving in the same manner as the rear. I have not made the drop links yet, I will do this when its on the floor, which hopefully wont be too long!
Front Suspension
Sunday, August 2nd, 2009I wanted to get the front suspension on, but first I had to knock up some new steering arms. The others were really a little too short. I didn’t like the amount the rosejoints were screwed out. So I made some new ones, but this time I made them from solid ally bar. They are actually slightly lighter that the originals, and slightly longer, so all is not lost!
Rear Anti-Roll Bar
Monday, July 6th, 2009With the suspension all mounted it was time to mount the rear anti-roll bar. I had previously decided to mount the drop link into the inner end of the toe adjuster. So I quickly whipped that off, drilled and tapped it 5/16 UNF.Yes, I know, its imperial but its a race car, all race cars are imperial (even if it does mean I get confused over dimensions)! Then I bolted on a rose joint to the blade and the adjuster to see how long the drop link needed to be.
Rear Anti Roll Bar
Tuesday, May 26th, 2009After tacking on the rear anti roll bar mounts I decided that it needed beefing up!
