Now, having put all the fluids in for the corner weights etc, it was decided that we should try to start it! Not having a full loom, I had to throw some wires at the fuel pump and water pumps etc, and run the computer as a dash! Excuse the image/sound quality, I recorded this with my camera, not really a video camera! The smoke coming out from in front of the engine is the exhaust wrap ‘drying’ off so no need to worry there!

Saturday, August 1st, 2009I finished off the radiator to pump pipe. I need to make a bracket to mount the pump as it seems the way I have mounted the actuator valves just interfere with one of the pressing of the pump, but it shouldnt take long!
Actuator And Reverse
Monday, June 29th, 2009The title of this post pretty much says it all. The next item to go onto the car was the actuator. I did however have to put on the oil fitting to absolutly make sure it was all going to fit, however I didnt get around to making the oil line but that shouldnt make any difference yet!
Exhaust
Sunday, June 21st, 2009The next major item to go onto the car was the exhaust. As the exhaust runs reasonably close to the cockpit, being a mid engined car, I have decided to wrap the exhaust to try a keep some heat away from the cockpit.
After measuring the length required, the wrap needs to soak in water.
