With the mods almost there at the front I turned my focus to the rear. In order to make the engine fit a little better, and hopefully help my lowering the CofG it was decided to lower the engine as far as could be achieved. Unfortunately this does not mean quite to the floor as the exhaust wouldnt fit, and I dont really want to get another made or mod this one, so it is about 20mm up from there, but still not too bad. This meant chopping up the engine frame a little so out with the angle grinder..
Engine Update
June 20th, 2010No pics here, just an update on the engine itself. The engine has been installed on the dyno, and th ECU re calibrated for the change in crank wheel etc. It has now been fired up and run continuously for a reasonable amount of time, admittedly not under real load, but it was stopping before when idling! It will be put under load on Monday just to check, but at least at the moment it is starting and running correctly!
