I have forgotten how many times I have tried to do something with the doors! All I know is that now I finally have something that works and I like! They are now on an internal hinge that also slides horizontally!!! It has to slide out otherwise the door fouls the appeture, however once it is slid out by about 3/4 inch, it simply rotates round to open up nice and wide!

Doors Plan Z
Sunday, December 6th, 2009Air Ducting
Monday, November 30th, 2009Picking up where I left off, the first job was to finish of trimming the holes int he rear panel. These do just need a bit of final rubbing down with emery, but the tank tape makes the edge look far worse than it is! The fibres dont really grind well with the air ‘whizzer’, and end up all stringy. I really should have used masking tape!
Air Scoops
Sunday, November 22nd, 2009With the job list dwindling, the job at the top of the list was to attach the air scoops. I decided, by eye, roughly where I wanted to stick them so stuck a load of tape over the area. I couldnt find the masking tape, so just used a load of orange tank tape, which you can just about make out in the pic below.
Wiring Finished (I Hope)
Sunday, November 22nd, 2009I received the final bits of the loom on Saturday, the rear lighting loom and front wheel speed extension pieces. I quickly set about getting these on the car and testing them.
First Gearchanges
Sunday, November 8th, 2009After getting everything sorted, I thought I would try to get the engine running again, and this time give the gearchange a whirl!
I have only just glanced at the gearchange settings, so the blip is a little coarse. Remember also that there was no throttle so the engine does almost die when cut! You can also see the neutral selection working correctly!
Listen out for the blips on the downshifts!
