Cockpit Cooling

an issue that became apparent at Brands was that I had totally overlooked cooling of the driver! I have in fact done my best to cook him, with an almost perfectly sealed cockpit. This was a bit of an oversight but nothing that cant be fixed. So the idea is to take in some air from in front of the bubble, where it is high pressure, and exit it somewhere where there is low pressure, as shown (ish) below.

I have decided to try to exit the air through the windows. What I will do is to cut some slot in the lexan, and then heat up the remaining parts to bend them into louver shapes. Well, thats the plan…

It may look like there are a lot of slots here, and perhaps there are, but I will tape over any extra until the right amount remains, and then when I sort out the final body, only put in that number to start with. Obviously when it rains I might have to tape up a few extra to stop the water, but we will cross that bridge when it comes!!

Here you can see the slots. I just found a holesaw of an appropriate size I made them around that. They need finishing off, but the GP and Le Mans were on so not too much done!
