Revised Oil Cooling

Another item that fell out of the first test was a slight oil temp problem. The water was fine, but the oil wasn’t! I knew when I made the original ducts that I may have been pushing things a little, but thought it was worth a go. So much so that I already had a plan B mocked up in my head. The revised duct takes all the air from the wheel arch and front diffuser and directs it towards the cooler. Hopefully this will work.

I have had to stick in some mesh to stop the stones etc from smashing the cooler

This has meant that I have cut out most of the sidepod. I actually think if I cover some of this back up the cooler will work better, as the air wont be able to spill out. Of course this is a balancing act as if I cover too much an air dam may be created. It has also meant that my nice carbon duct has had to be chopped. No matter as if this works I will get it made properly in the future, as well as the sidepod. Remembering this is the development stage so bits will appear and dissapear with alarming regularity!
