While re-inserting the engine, I was a bit lazy and didnt remove the seat panels. However to put the exhaust back on I needed to get a hand in to replace the springs. I decided that a small quickly removable hatch would actually be quite useful for other bits and bobs so I drilled a large hole with the biggest holesaw we have.
I obviously needed to plug the hole, so used the piece I cut out and riveted it to the back of a rectangular plate.
This is then riveted onto the seat panel. This now means for most things I can get enough access through this hole, but for more serious work I can still remove the panel.
