Now normally I would be VERY against deliberately making something that would have a negative effect on the aero, BUT engine life is more important. The current setup of the car means that the engine bay has no real moving air. If however there was some moving air causing the hot air off the headers to be blown out the back, and perhaps causing a little cool air to be blown over the engine, that would have to be a good thing! So, I have added a naca duct in front of the engine as seen below. This obviously removes some air from the floor but hopefully will help engine life and keep everything a little cooler!
Below is the view from underneath, the idea being that the shape of the naca duct actually draws the air in without having a scoop below the surface of the floor.
