The regs for the 750 motor clubs Bikesports say that you are supposed to have a chain guard which covers the upper face of the chain to the same depth of the axle line. I cant see this actually doing anything practical, apart from keeping the chain grease off the bodywork. Anyway, I made some cardboard templates and have finally got around to making it.
I have also decided to make a cover for the front sprocket. This is only to stop the chain muck spraying all over the wiring etc! I bent up a small strip of ally for this and taped it into position.
I decided it would be easiest to just silicone this into place as they were no obvious mounting locations available at the front. But seeing as this is just to stop oil and not a chain it should be fine, lets hope!
