Wiring Loom

Right, well after a bit of a drought of updates, due mainly to work commitments so cant really complain, I finally have a reasonable update! Paul has delivered most of the chassis loom. The main body is there, but a few things need plugs attaching and the high power battery cables need doing etc etc. But this has allowed me to make a start at clipping the loom in!

Below is the GCU, the cables heading both forward and backwards and loom to the switch panel.

GCU Wiring

Here you can see the main trunking of cables heading towards the rear of the car. The cable hanging down is for the starter solenoid, which I now have, but didnt when I took the pictures.

Passenger Side Wiring

At the rear of the car there is a bundle of cables, for the rear lights, brake pressure sensor, gearpot and actuator. The plugs need putting on all this lot, hence they are just dangling at the moment.

Bundle of Wires at the Rear

Heading forward from this bundle is the fuel pump. The loom also splits at this point to go up and over the bulkhead to the throttle blipper and a spare fuel pump should an extra tank be needed in the future.

Fuel Pump Wiring

Here is all of the ECU, coils etc on the passenger sill. I had originally planned for this lot to mount to the vertical face inside the car, but it just didnt really fit, so it ended up here. I will also place the anderson plug on this sill. This should help out if the main battery is a little low etc!

ECU on the Sill

due to the increased number of switches, breakers and fuses, I had to make a slightly larger switch panel. The design is exactly the same as the previous one, it is just a little longer! The wires all come in from the front from the large bundle that cross the car.
