My current setup means that the engine is going to be drawing all its air from over the hot exhaust headers. This is clearly not the best idea, as the engine will be losing power! To rectify this I have made up some air scoops. These will be identical on both sides and go just in front of the rear wheels. The pictures make these look really quite big, I should have taken the photo with a ruler or something, but I didnt realise until it was too late!
Anyway, the pictures are of the buck for the scoops.
These will attache to the removable rear panel and I will then make up some ducts to go from here to the engine intake. I am NOT using ram air as this could easily lead to engine det, I just want the engine to get in nice cold air! I will need to make a box around the engine trumpets but I have planned what needs to be done and hopefully it wont be too bad!
