It may appear that I have been a bit lacking on updates. And I suppose this is true, but I have been busy with work and then spent the bank holiday down in Devon. But getting back on subject, next on the list was the throttle cable. I decided to run this inside the sidepod on the drivers side. The cable basically runs up from the engine to the bulkhead, down the the floor, along the side of the car and then dives into the footwell. It sounds pretty bad but actually the bends are very large radius so hopefully it should all be OK. Below is the hole, prior to deburring etc, where the cable threads itself into the footwell.
As the car is running a proper paddle shift there is a throttle blipper. The GEARTRONICS system can either use a cable blipper, like mine, or an actuator that physically operates the throttle on the engine. The 935 uses the later but there just isnt room to easily manufacture something on this so the cable blipper it is. Yes, the cable outer is blue, but it was the cheapest cable I could get, and it seems pretty reasonable! The blipper operates by extending the cable outer, thus pulling on the inner, so the outer had to be cut, but thats no great problem.
