Whilst sorting the front bump stops, I noticed, although I should have done before, that the front right damper was able to rotated just enough to rub the steering column. It was going to be a problem in itslef, like locking the column, but it was going to damage the canister, so I thought I whould stop it from being able to rotate enough. So I knocked up a couple of nylon spacers to limit the rotation.
Below you can see them in situ. These actually stop it rotating totally, but the damper is all in line and should be OK.
