Now, having put all the fluids in for the corner weights etc, it was decided that we should try to start it! Not having a full loom, I had to throw some wires at the fuel pump and water pumps etc, and run the computer as a dash! Excuse the image/sound quality, I recorded this with my camera, not really a video camera! The smoke coming out from in front of the engine is the exhaust wrap ‘drying’ off so no need to worry there!

efore doing the corner weights it is important to gewt the car as close to the real weight as possible. So that meant filling the car with oil

Door Catches

Sunday, August 23rd, 2009

I mentioned before that I was going to use modified Aerocatches for door catches. As standard Aerocatches can only be opened from the outside. this is fine for a bonnet catch, but for a door not all that useful. Jon has modified his such that they can be opened from both inside and out, but in all honesty I couldnt remember what he had said to do, so I had to do it from scratch.

Front Anti-Rollbar Droplinks

Saturday, August 22nd, 2009

While the car was at rideheight I thought that I should get the droplinks for the front anti-rollbar. In actual fact I used the ones from the rear, as these were too long on the rear and I bought some female rosejoints to sort it. But on the front these fitted a treat!

To do the corner weights the car need to go on the flat floor and scales. The scales have been set up for the other bay. I could have set them up to use in my by, but I just thought it would be easier to move the cars over. Whilst doing this I thought this was just quite a nice photo
