After finishing off the extinguisher lines etc, the next jobbette was to mount the top ally panel to the chassis. However the wiring is not yet finished and the battery is below this panel. I also thought it would be a good idea if I could get to the battery a bit more easily than crawling down headfirt into the passenger footwell! So, I cut the strange shaped holw you can see below. (Its the funny shape to go around certain chassis members).
To make assembly easier, I then bolted up the clutch reservoir and pipe to the panel.
The next picture was taken a little later, I know this because the steering column is in! But it all went in reasonably simply, although I had to lift the spider section of body to rivet underneath. Then, as you can see, I fitted the column and wheel. I think this now means that almost all of the chassis type wiring bits are in, obviously the loom is still to come, but most other bits are there or there abouts!
