I was supposed to pick up the cooler ducts last weekend but things didnt quite end up going to plan! So I nipped over and picked them up on Saturday. These were made from my ally jobs, albeit with a fair smattering of filler etc to get them nice and smooth on the inside! All I had to do was to drill the holes for the oil cooler fittings, which was a somewhat nervous procedure as if I got it wrong that would be that! But it all panned out OK and
Getting the duct to fit into the car however was not quite so easy! I am not really sure what happened, but during the ally panels travels it must have got a bit distorted as it didnt seem to want to fit that well. It seems that the front angled face was about 10mm too high as was fouling on the side impact tubes. this was a bot disappointing, and I will have to get the mould changed, but for this duct I just cut some slots and taped over the holes. You cant actually see the tape so it not the end of the world!
Eventually I got it on and this is the look so far. Hopefully next weekend I can make up the final body support for the newly chopped rear section and get the back all on! Depending on how that all goes I might try to get the water rad duct in and the water pipes made.
