Rear Diffuser

So after trimming the diffuser last week, it was time to properly fit the diffuser. Fit was to cut 2 pads to bolt the rear of the diffuser on with. I had toyed with the idea of welding some drop links from the ally tube that runs across the rear of the car to support the rear deck, but decided that WHEN it gets bent, welding more ally will be a pain whereas the steel with be considerably easier, especially at the track! Yes the steel will weigh more, but to be honest its such minimal amounts of material, that its not worth messing around!

Pads

I then leveled the lower diffuser return with the floor and tacked in some tube, yet more of the original front splitter frame, between the pads and the bobbins that I made last week.

I then took it all off, welded it all properly and painted it.

Final Build

I had to trim a little of the upper return off the diffuser to allow the exhaust to fit. It doesnt seem to have affected the strength that much, so all is still well.
