Well not much to report. I did get the chassis down to Brands Hatch though, and after the meeting it was then taken down to the paint shop. They have promised that it will be down for this weekend. It would be good it it was as I really want to get on with the rebuild. I cant wait to see what it looks like as up until now it has always been covered in dirt, swarf, grinding dust or no paint at all. I took down a door to get a reasonable colour match, I dont want to pay for an especially mixed paint, and this will mean colour matching in the future would be more difficult, but the closest colour chips will be fine!
It feels quite strange not having the car in the shop at home. Not veryoften do we have to get work done outside but painting is one of those few times. We dont have the equipment to do it and the mess it would make would be extreme!
So I spent a few hours on Sunday cleaning and tidying. The amount of grinding dust on the floor was horrific, although I think some was filler dust from the 935 rebuild! I just need to work out a plan for assembly now, although I am sure I will end up struggling at some point!
*UPDATE* Just spoken to the painter and I should be getting the chassis back on Sunday, fingers crossed
