As I had to push the car out to set up a customer car, I thought I would take some photos or the car. Obviously the engine is out and the chassis jacked up, from when the exhaust was made to stop it grounding on ramps etc, but it gives the general impression.

Seat Belt Mounts
Monday, May 4th, 2009As I had made the seat, the next logical thing to tackle was the belts. Previously I had made up some mounts for the shoulder straps but not welded them in. This meant that at least that task was done so one less thing to do now!
First up was to mark where they needed to go. I sat in the seat and got Dad to mark my neck with some masking tape. As I am using a Hans Device, I need to make the belts actually slightly narrower than my nect so as to not slip off the Hans.
Door Catches
Monday, May 4th, 2009Not much, but over the long weekend, in between other paying jobs, I managed to pop over to Jon and pick up the door catches. These are modified aerocatches so that you can operate them from inside. I will need to move the pivot point and insert some bolts to stop it going over centre, but that will have to wait for a couple of weeks.
Roll Bars
Monday, May 4th, 2009Previously I have mentioned that I am making up some roll bars for the car. Well I finally got round to this and here they are. This is actually the front bar and the ends are deliberatly welded on at 115 degrees, not quite as good as 90 degrees, but that didnt fit so.. I had hoped to pick up the mounting blocks and nylon bushes for these but unfortunatly they had been forgotten, nevermind!
