I am mounting all of the major electronics, ECU, GCU Radio etc, on the passenger side. However I need a main earthing point to the chassis, so I welded one on!

Tuesday, May 19th, 2009Dash Panel
Tuesday, May 19th, 2009Now I do intend on panelling in the wheel arches, in fact the moulds have been made and the panels should be winging there way to me, I will post this up at a later date, but I thought that sealing the cockpit from the elements would be advisable. In fact these will be the last ally panels, I think!
ARB’s

I pickedup the ally and acetal bushes for the anti roll bars. I had had a drawing of them previously but had decided not to wled on plates just in case I miss measured. At least this way I could assemble everything up and see what was going to hit etc. First up was to assemble the ARB with the blade. I had only just got the bolts as they were a funny size!
Oil Catch Tank
Monday, May 18th, 2009Now, I know, I did already have a catch tank, but having made the oil pipes it is clear it doesnt actually fit! What I decided to do was to weld a tank to the side of the oil tank. This basically allows it to overhang and use up some of the previously unusable space as anything would need to be supported by sky hooks! I have included a sight glass on the side and a drain underneath.
The Big Chop
Monday, May 18th, 2009As it was impossible to get the rear of the car off, or at least very difficult, I have decided to alter the panel. Basically the rearmost part will remain on the car, as this is the bit under the wing and the problem area, whereas the rest will be removable. So the first step was to chop it in half. I have to admit I was very worried by this, but there was nothing for it! So here it is all chopped. A flange will be glued to the rearmost section to allow for some dzueses. Hopefully this will be done by the end of the week. Hopefully before Santa Pod
