Now, I know, I did already have a catch tank, but having made the oil pipes it is clear it doesnt actually fit! What I decided to do was to weld a tank to the side of the oil tank. This basically allows it to overhang and use up some of the previously unusable space as anything would need to be supported by sky hooks! I have included a sight glass on the side and a drain underneath.
As it was impossible to get the rear of the car off, or at least very difficult, I have decided to alter the panel. Basically the rearmost part will remain on the car, as this is the bit under the wing and the problem area, whereas the rest will be removable. So the first step was to chop it in half. I have to admit I was very worried by this, but there was nothing for it! So here it is all chopped. A flange will be glued to the rearmost section to allow for some dzueses. Hopefully this will be done by the end of the week. Hopefully before Santa Pod
