As I have booked the dyno for tomorrow time was running out! But Paul Dobb definitely came through with the engine loom!
I know just how much work has had to go into this and it really is exemplary work! Paul has done a fantastic job on the busa loom, and has also made up a very small dyno bolt on loom to power it all up etc.
This is a totally custom loom that Paul has made for me, and the chassis loom is on the way. Paul and I discussed how to go about it, and we decided to make the chassis separate from the engine loom, that way if the engine is changed in the future it is not a totally new loom! Obviously they are connected to each other, but that is via an autosport connector.
Paul has also giev nme all the pin outs for the connectors so error checking in the future should be easier, especially as every wire is white! But then they are all heatshrunk anyway!
We powered up the loom just to make sure, and everything I could test seemed to be working, throttle sensor, oil temp, atmospheric etc. So hopefully everything will be OK on the dyno!
