Not much of a post, but I have not had time to do anything with them! But this week the driveshafts arrived from GKN. They seem to be about the right length, which is a bit of luck, and have a black anti-corrosion layer. Obviously they knew the colour scheme!! Anyway, they seem to have come in massive drill type containers!
Continuing the theme of ally panels, I finally got around to making the oil cooler ducting. I had previously made the templates from cut up cereal boxes, but this weekend I transferred these to ally.
Due to the changes, I needed to remake the drivers side ally panel. I thought about just using the original and adding another panel along the side but it wouldnt have really fitted and just looked naff! So I redesigned the panel in solidedge and got it bent up. Then it was pretty easy to get it to the stage it was all at before.
To access the exhaust I have changed the internal oanelling a little. I have now cut the centre seat back in half and made another removable panel on the passenger side. These will be held on with button heads bolts in rivnuts.
After the slightly confused/garbled entry about the wing bracket last week, this one should clear it up! I knocked up these 2 little brackets to adjust the wing angle. They are only 1/4UNF rosejoints but should be plently strong enough in compression, lets hope so anyway!
