Joe at BTB phoned me to ask if he could cut one of the bars out from the wing frame to fit the exhaust can. This didnt worry me in the slightest as I can easily put the strength back in! You can see below he has cut out the top bar between the plates and welded in half of a new diagonal. Unfortunalty he ran out of time to make the second half but gave me some tube to make it from!
Once the can was removed I quickly knocked up the second half and taked it in. Below you can see it shaped to fit around the existing framework.
