Lynx AE ‘s reverse uses a sprocket bolted to the gearbox output shaft to drive the car in reverse. The sprocket also doubles as the nut. Obviously there is a slight issue with tightening up the sprocket as you cant use a socket! However this has been thought through, and, as you can see below the sprocket has holes in it to use to get purchase.
So, I knocked up the below tool from an old socket and two bits of silversteel. This should allow me to use a torque wrench to do up the nut to the required torque. Well thats the plan anyway!
