Nipped over to Jon’s today to pick up the diff and diff plates
I haven’t had chance to fit it to the chassis, but I hope to rectify that soon!
Now, when I first looked at the car, Jon was using mini brakes, the car uprights are mini based, but i have to say the one thing i was interested in changing was the brakes for a set of AP CP7030, (F3 brakes). You can download the installation drawing from the AP site for these and i have to admit that i had started drawing some caliper mounts and bells to fit them. Although not at the greatest of speeds as other more crucial parts needed prior attention.
But when picking up the diff Jon produced a set of caliper mounts and bells for the brakes. I have to say the bells are beautiful, all machined from aluminium HE15 alloy.
Jon let me borrow this set to check that it fitted inside my BBS wheels, which they do! In fact it all fitted so well i have ditched my bells and mounts and have ordered a set from Jon! Although i have asked mine to be hard anodised which should help maintenance and stop corrosion.
