Today I made a stand for the rear of the chassis to lift it off the floor. In the future I will make some small stands for race day to just lift the wheels off the floor for tyre changes, but this stand, and the one yet to be made, are mainly for building the chassis on. They lift it about 500mm from the floor to a comfortable working height.Now yes, they are slightly over engineering, you could probably prop a jumbo jet up with them, but the material was all I had available and at least I wont have to worry about them!!!
I also measured the chassis to make the ally panels. I have a friendly engineering shop that have agreed to punch them out for me, so hopefully, as long as we have measured them correctly, there will only be a small amount of trimming around welds and such like to make them fit! Well thats the plan anyway.
